...the nails on my left hand get chewed down until sore.

....when the floors don't get mopped and the carpet doesn't get vacuumed.

There are two things I love to do more than anything -- reading and writing. Usually writing takes precedence so, if I dump writing to read, then the book must really be a good one!!

I forget to eat, sleep or do the laundry. The telephone goes to the answering machine and my exercise program is postponed.

You know you are reading a good book when....

I languish over each page and each word to absorb the meaning, etc., leaving the laundry and dust to pile high.

... I want to bounce up and down in my chair because I'm enjoying myself so much.

Besides all of the above, I miss my stop on the subway!

When I think, "So what if I have to work tomorrow? I don't really need sleep!"

... I stay up way too late to finish the book.

...I lose track of time.

I get annoyed if something interrupts - even lovely things! So naughty... But still, a good book transports you. So worth reading it to the end. :)

Lots of those sound really familiar to me too!

If I had of had to finish this sentence this morning, the answers would have been...nearly miss the station where I have to change trains and then...close the book with a big sigh and a smile and wonder how quickly I can get my hands on the next book by this author!
